We had a one night stay at this hotel using a cat 1-4 award. I prefer Charlottesville in general so would recommend that property over this for a quick getaway, but if in the area I would certainly recommend the Quirk Richmond. Pictures below and happy to answer any questions. I’m not sure what the neighborhood is regularly like as I haven’t been here much, but at this time I personally probably wouldn’t leave the hotel after dark. I assume this is in general related to some of the recent protests. There were very few people out while we were there. I haven’t spent much time in Richmond but the neighborhood around the hotel - most businesses are boarded up, and some streets are completely blocked off with dump trucks. Due to COVID, breakfast is not being served at this time so I also can’t comment on that. Due to rain, it was closed the night of our stay so I can’t comment on it. Much like Charlottesville, this hotel has a rooftop bar. Just like the Charlottesville property we received an amenity of gummy bears and a large glass Quirk-branded bottle of water. Beautiful suite and completely soundproofed - no street noise at all. The bedroom is on a corner with two more massive windows, the same high ceilings, and a full bathroom with a stand-alone tub and a separate shower. The mattress on the fold-out was unusually comfortable and my son slept well on it. The ceilings are probably 12-13 feet high. There is a massive window looking out to the East. The living room has a fold out couch, two chairs, and a table along with a half bath. We were upgraded to a proper one bedroom suite for our one night stay. While the Charlottesville property is brand new and everything ultramodern, this is a refurb of a Department Store and has kept many old touches. I couldn’t find an existing thread so have started this one new. Not sure what you need?
